Who we are

CreditReportAdvice is brought to you by Creditree Limited which is a privately owned organisation set up by people who have a genuine desire to help you understand credit and what your credit report is all about.   

More and more your credit report may be used not only by lenders looking to assess a credit application, but by other companies and organisations in both the public and private sectors in assessing your eligibility for goods and services. 

It is even more important for you to know what your credit report means to these organisations and what you can do if you think there is something in your report that you do not understand or think might be incorrect.

Individually and collectively we have many years of credit reference agency experience and have set up CreditReportAdvice to provide completely impartial, independent and professional advice and guidance to our members. 

This Privacy Statement summarises how we use the information you provide us with.  We have avoided complex and ‘legal’ explanations and follow the guidance of the Information Commissioner in making this very easy to understand, both to meet our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998 and also what we see as being our commitment to you in keeping things simple and straightforward.

Your personal information

Any information you provide to CreditReportAdvice will be kept securely in the UK.

We have a policy of asking you only for information that relates to providing you with the best possible service, nothing more nothing less.  All the information you provide us with will be used solely for the purpose of providing you with the service you have requested, including administering your membership account.

We will only keep this information for as long as you ar dealing with CreditReportAdvice, or such additional time as may be reasonable to deal with any follow-up queries or to notify you of any new facilities we may be able to provide that were not available when you first contacted us.

No one other than those dealing with you as part of the CreditReportAdvice service, including reputable third parties involved in collecting payment for the service, will have access to your personal information unless you give us permission to disclose this, for example if we were acting on your behalf in a particular query relating to your credit report.

We will not pass any information to a third party, for example for marketing purposes.
